Join us for our final showcase of the year...

Updated: Jan 21, 2018

Join us for our final showcase of the year and what a year its been. 2017 has seen Pathway Traxx go from strength to strength as we signed some of the hottest talent in the underground scene and our releases have topped the charts across many of the biggest platforms. So this December's showcase is our chance to celebrate the year past and welcome in 2018 which promises to be even better. So what better way to celebrate than to welcome 2 of our forthcoming artists from 2018 and these guys are both equally at home behind the decks as they are in the studio:

TIJN: TIJN runs runs the hugely successful underground vinyl only label In Haus Wax which has featured artists such as Adam Shelton, Tuccillo, Chris Carrier, Seb Zito, Carlos Sanchez. TIJN's rich analogue sound has seen his releases constantly pepper the Juno Records and other vinyl store charts. It is this signature sound that has caught the attention of Apollonia, Enzo Siragusa, Barac and Nima Gorji to name a few. His studio is the envy of many underground producers, boasting a wide range of analogue drum machines and synths. But its not just in his studio where Tijn is making waves, his long lasting love affair with vinyl means he boasts a collection that is the envy of many DJ's.

Kepler: Gracing dancefloors with warm and intelligent motives, Kepler’s sound is celebrated on a global scale, seeing support from the likes of Fabe, Raresh, Seb Zito, Janeret and more. Channelling several releases on labels Arupa, MOFF and Silencio, Kepler’s recent EP ‘Planetary Systems I’ placed in the top 20 of Deejay’s minimal chart as well as reaching several record stores across Europe, including SpaceHall and black.round.twelve. After a long standing residency at Leeds’s famously celebrated Mint Club, Kepler has shared line-ups with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Nicolas Lutz, Rhadoo and many more. Showcasing across the more intimate Mint Club as well as the 1000+ capacity Mint Warehouse and Festival, Kepler has acquired a locker of priceless experience and knowledge of dancefloors with a record collection to match. Showcasing his music on an international level at gigs across the UK, Germany and Spain, Kepler is a celebrated figure in the underground and continues to thrive under his current residencies with Mass and King Size Recordings.

Niko Maxen: Niko is nothing short of a musical obsessive. He’s also one of the new wave of DJ’s and Producers making moves in his home city. Not bad considering that city is Leeds – a place with a rich rave and party heritage going back to the dawn of electronic music. Niko grew up submersed in a household filled with music, often dancing around while his mother cleaned to the sound of soul and disco flowing out from the family gramophone, It was during these childhood years Niko was exposed to the beauty of vinyl collecting, as his mother nurtured a large collection of funk, soul and R&B, something Niko would later go on to inherit after her passing. Out of this passion and love for the vinyl format, Pathway Traxx, the vinyl only label was born in 2013. Originally created as a platform for Niko’s own productions, the label soon gathered support amongst the underground scene, and provided a welcome home for new breakthrough artists to sit alongside more established acts of the underground scene. Niko’s first release on Pathway Traxx under an “Unknown” alias literally catapulted the label from zero to hero as it shot straight to No.1 on both Juno and Decks.de and later went on to sell out in all stores. Following the huge success of the first release Niko looked to take a back seat to make way for some new talent who could call the label home. Bringing the likes of Liam Geddes, Oli Furness, Jamie Trench, Manooz and Deelicous to the foreground, the label soon became the staple of selectors all across the world. It wasn’t long before Niko caught the eye of Parisian house hero, and Circoloco resident DJ W!LD, who was drawn to the authenticity of the label and Niko’s work. Niko went on to release the 4 track stripped back vocal pleaser, The Sun Comes after the Rain which again rocked the vinyl charts. It’s not just as a label owner and producer where Niko feels at home. Over the last few years Niko has co-run the underground party Beatstreet, which has played host to the likes of Subb-An, Seb Zito, Chris Lattner, Rossko, amongst others. Niko can also be found running Pathway Traxx label parties across his home city of Leeds. The coming months will see Niko’s profile continue to go from strength to strength as a series of releases are penned in for the label with an ever growing roster of both established and upcoming talent. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open because 2017 is set to be a promising year for this rising star.

Kezla: Long standing friend and staple resident of Pathway Traxx events Kezla perfectly at home either warming things up or laying down peak time bombs. A DJ's DJ!!!
